Newera Developments Ltd. is a dedicated workshop for preparation of cars in addition to tuning and service work. The workshop is run as a separate business from Newera Imports, but operates as a support system – for preparation of each car we supply OTR in the UK.
As your car arrives, it’s transported to the workshop, ready for UK preparation. The staff there are in contact promptly as the car is delivered, to discuss with you options available for the preparation of your car to your requirements. The workshop takes care of all modifications, testing (MOT / SVA), and other UK workshop requirements such as qualified alarm & tracker fitment, body-kit painting & fitment, minor paintwork repairs, leather conversions, UK registration, valetting, etc.
Gareth Brunt runs the workshop. He first met Miguel in 1996 when they were neighbours in Brighton. Miguel’s interest in cars and bikes rubbed off on Gareth (Who was a teenager when they met). From the beginning, Miguel saw that he was an absolute perfectionist in his work. He completed 4 year's training with a Mercedes Benz main dealer in Brighton, where he became one of their premier technicians. He is qualified to NVQ level 3 and holds an HNC in automotive repair and engineering. During his time at MB, he carried out work to the highest level including complete rebuilding of engines, as well as solving complicated electrical / electronic problems, etc.
For fun, he also completely restored a 1983 Porsche 911 3.0 SC including full mechanical rebuild - a car he still has today. His work with Newera Imports started off in Tokyo as senior staff. Having spent a year in Japan with us, he gained first hand experience in knowing exactly how Newera works in Japan, as well as how each customer's car must be completed to the highest standards. This training combined with his excellent mechanical skills has led to development of the new workshop, able to hold 15 cars complete with full facilities and maximum security. There are 3 full time staff and the services of dent removal specialists and such – Contacts made through Gareth’s work with MB (Very high quality preparation).
